Bio
Antoine Chacour Tinawi is a direct disciple of world renowned peace ambassador Sri Sri Ravi Shankar with whom he travels, studies, and teaches yoga in all its aspects (postures, breathing techniques, meditation, mantras, service and philosophy). Since 1993, Antoine has accumulated 2,500 hours of formal yoga and meditation training with the Art of Living, the Sri Sri Shcool of Yoga, with Sivananda Yoga, and in Ashtanga Yoga. He has also studied Kundalini Yoga, Yin Yoga, Chair Yoga and Thai Yoga. Antoine is one of the 10 first teachers in Canada to attain Yoga Alliance's E-RYT500; the highest designation for yoga teachers and has served on their Schools and Studios Advisory Group. In 2008, Antoine left his corporate career as an IT director, to volunteer for the Art of Living Foundation, an international not-for-profit organization. As the Canadian Yoga coordinator for the Art of Living he travelled and taught yoga, breathing techniques and meditation in many countries and co-founded the Montreal Art of Living Centre. Antoine's keen interest in helping people heal both mentally and physically has also led him to offer bodywork as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMQ), and as a Certified Ayurvedic Therapist (ANQ).
