About me

I became curios of Buddhism and Hinduism around 1990 and then began doing yoga over at the YMCA. Teacher Training began there with Beth Shaw's Yogafit levels 1, 2, 3 with Anatomy and Alignment. I then subbed for a number of teachers at the Y and other locations. In 2009 I completed Dr. Bali's 200 hour training and later in 2017 another 300 hours of study with Robin Golt. Also since 2010 spent many hours with Dr. Bali doing karma yoga together helping to promote his message of wellness. Over the years have also spent time visiting Sivananda ashrams at Val Morin, Bahamas, Nayyer Dam & Madurai plus the center in Chennai, visited the ashram of Amma the hugging mother in Amritapuri, the Aurobindo ashram and Auroville in Pondicherry. Back in North America visited Swami Satchidananda Yogaville ashram in Virginia, Kripalu in Massachesets, Omega Institute and Ananda ashrams in New York. 
For over 8 years I teach a weekly karma Chair Yoga class at Évasion Centre de Jour, a day center for seniors.
 
My teachings encourage movement of the entire body to help lubricate all of our joints, encouraging circulation to help meet all of our nutritional and medicinal needs, remove metabolic waste and improve muscle tone. Use of the Bali Method to invoke the relaxation response helps our bodies maximize its power to rebuild, renew and repair itself. By shifting from the rational mind to the intuitive mind, from thinking to feeling our minds are being calmed and energy is being conserved for more useful purposes. Enjoy the feeling of being refreshed after completing the class!
